Mothers Day

Mother's Day was so wonderful!!!! My husband really made me feel so special. Of course he got me some fabulous gifts but we all know that gifts is not what mothers day is about. He had the kids make me cards and tell me "Happy Mothers Day" a thousand times.

He got up with Savannah in the middle of the night, of course it took some negoitiating. Savannah was crying crying crying so I nudged him and told him to go and then he told me to go and then I said those magic words, "But it's mothers day!!!" And up he went. Gotta love it!!

Before church he took me to Starbucks for my Skinny Vanilla Latte which was delish!!!

Well my husband had gotten me a blue topaz & diamond ring for Valentines day and only having it for 2 weeks the big stone came out. I was disapointed and I took the ring back and they said the jewler would fix it.

Well the jewler could not fix it so I exchanged it!! And I could not be happier with my choice. We decided to go with an all diamond ring instead if a gem stone ring so that it would match anything!!! Heres a picture of it.

Well my niece is getting married on July 3rd of this year and both of my girls are going to be in the wedding so I was trying to find cute, elegant dresses for a bargain. And I did:) I found a dress shop on E-Bay called MS Unlimited. The prices are crazy for the style of dresses. I got 1 for $10.99 and 1 for $12.99.

I ordered then early so that if they come in and they are ugly or poor poor quality I can send them back and find something else. Here's a couple of pictures of them.

Hello everyone, It's me!!!!!...... Oh, Cmon you remember me don't you? The overworked underpaid housewife from Akron? No really, I'm just kiddin.

But I have missed you all soo much. I am becoming a bad blogger. But thats all going to change now. I have a little post AND some pictures for you.

You see I got to go the mall today with no kids and pick out some special little items.

Ok, First one, My new FAB-U-LOUS Apostrophe Bag. It is so bright and so big, I love it!!!

2nd is my new wallet, chic and brown, goes with any of my bags:)

And 3rd, I FINALLY got some earrings!!! I wasn't even sure if my ears were still pierced so I actually went to get them pierced and the lady said, there are still holes there!! yay, because like seriously I was shaking I was so scared!!! I haven't wore earrings for years, Yay!!!

I LOVE Famous Hair!!!

I went yesterday to get my hair cut and colored again, for free!!! You see, if you sign up to be a model they will call you when they hire a new person and you can get your hair done for free and leave with some great products.

This time I got a lot of blonde put on the top and a nice rich brown on the bottom and thy cut some new layers in so you can actually see the brown. I have a picture but really it doesn't do it justice. It turned out great!!! I also left with a bottle of Root Lifter, which works miracles and Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner. Yay!!!

Yea, that's right, it's a REAL post, not just advertising, which come to think of I should be getting paid for that!!!

So, I finally joined Twitter. A lot of blogs I read already twit to I finally too the plunge. This is a website dedicated to one-liners, instead of a whole blog. All you do is type a one-liner about whats going on and you can keep all your twitter friends updated on your life. You can also set it up so you receive alerts as text messages to your phone and you can also send alerts as text from you phone.

The only downfall to getting them to your phone is that your friend in California doesn't know that you are fast asleep in your bed when she is still twittering!!! No really, it's fun!!

Jim has been painting the inside of our house and let me tell you, Paint fumes STINK!!! I hope no one actually gets sick from it.

For those of you who do not know, my son Nicolas LOVES the movie Wall-E. He will sit and watch the entire movie uninterrupted. So when I was at Wal-Mart I found a Wall-E comforter on clearance and i got it for him. He LOVED it!!!! And it's so cute to listen to him say Wall-E over and over again.

We told the girls we would take them out to get them something special this week-end, they want sleeping bags. So we'll see.

North Dakota Passes Abortion Law

North Dakota's House of Representatives has passed a bill effectively outlawing abortion.

The House voted 51-41 this afternoon to declare that a fertilized egg has all the rights of any person.

That means a fetus could not be legally aborted without the procedure being considered murder.

I used a "Mint Julep Masque" by "Queen Helene" from Walgreens. It cost around $3.oo a bottle.

These things are AMAZING!!! I do not have awful skin but I could definitely use some help in that area. My face brakes out about once a month and I also have red patches throughout.

I decided to try a mask and I love it. Just after one use I saw an amazing difference. My skin is tighter, healthier looking and it is VERY smooth.

If you have never tried one, you should!!

Also if any of you out there have any beauty tips for the face please feel free to share. I don't like feeling like I have to wear foundation all the time to get an even tone. Actually I would LOVE to leave the house with no make-up on, so if you have any beauty secrets, now is the time to share them!!!

Well I went to my neurologists today for my long awaited appointment for my chronic migraines. I found out that my iron and folic acid are low so that causes me to very tired and then that triggers the headaches. So he wants me to take some over the counter serum to boost that and a folic acid pill. Oh yea, and cut out caffeine. Ha, like that will ever happen. tell a girl who is chronically tired to cut caffeine and someone may just get hurt;) Don't worry I was honest with him and I said that I would follow his little devious plan, minus cutting my caffeine:)

On another note he said my potassium was very high. Now that could be a huge problem. It can cause heart irregularities. So I have to get it checked again to make sure it wasn't high just that day and if it's high again, I need to see my primary doctor and find out why. ASAP

He also said that people with high potassium cannot take really any medications, in fear of having a heart attack or stroke, so for future headaches, sick to 2 extra strength Tylenol & 2 Alieves.

So after 2 months of waiting to see him, I am basically still going to have migraines. Yay!! *Very Sarcasticily said*

Anybody have any tips, I am ALL ears!!!

Mail Days May Need To Be Cut

WASHINGTON – Massive deficits could force the post office to cut out one day of mail delivery, the postmaster general told Congress on Wednesday, in asking lawmakers to lift the requirement that the agency deliver mail six days a week.

Please pray that this does not go through. If it does my husbands job will probably be cut. He is a sub for the United States Post Office, so if they go down to 5 days a week, they wouldn't need subs anymore. The reason they have subs is to give the regular mail carriers a day off, so my husband is only guaranteed 1 day a week. He usually gets more due to sickness and people just taking off.

.........................Doing NOTHING!!!! no i'm just kiddin, but I was just thinking how I haven't been posting that much.

I have been kinda busy with the kids. I started Rebekah in homeschooling again and it's not as hard as it was before. I am still greatly praying and considering putting her in "school" next year.

I have been busy with my diet and exercise

They say dieting is one of the biggest eating disorders there are and i believe it!!! When you are dieting" you obsess over it, at least I do. You count, measure, cut up, use smaller plates. I could on and on. Anyway feel free to check out my weight loss blog and see my ups and downs;)

I was pretty sick for about almost two weeks!! I was dealing with major migraine issues, that went through out my head neck and shoulders. I am finally feeling better.

Oh, an update on Jeff, He is at home now recovering. He still has a pretty hard time getting around. His incision is huge and long. It goes all the way down his stomach. And they did not use stiches or staples to hold it together. Actually I have no idea what is holding it together.

My First Pair Of Wedge Heels

I used to LOVE wearing high heel shoes but since having babies and back problems it has been flats for me............................Until.......................I tried on a wedged heel. This is NOTHING like a high heel. it is actually comfortable and very easy to walk in.

Well they were able to take the tube out of Jeff yesterday and he is awake now. He was a lot disoriented and had no idea he had 2 major surgery's and was in the Icu. We had to keep explaining that to him.

They have to keep him in restraints because he wants to pull the tubes out and go home. He just doesn't understand. I am hoping he is having a better day today. My mom is going to see him at 11:30 so I am sure she will call with another update.

Well, there really isn't anything good to report. We were hoping that he would be off the ventilator by now but that's not happening.

They tried Sunday & Monday and he did not respond well to taking it out. Then he got pneumonia & fevers. Yesterday they were giving him blood and they said his respiration's were high.

They never really seem to be to concerned. The nurses are just like, 'This is expected when you are lying in a bed this long with tubes sticking out of you".

I know they can only keep a ventilator in for at the most 3weeks and at 2 weeks is when they start talking about doing something else.

Savannah Broke Her Finger

..................Well, really just the tip of it. We went to my sisters last night and all of the kids were playing great until I heard a scream. Savannah had gotten her finger slammed in a door. It did look kind bad but she could move it. I gave her Ib Profin and about 40 min later, she was still crying, so I figured she needed to be seen.

The doctor said it is a small fracture at the tip of her finger and to keep it in the splint for 5 days and have it re-checked. If it is not healing she will have to see a ortho pedic doctor.

So please pray that it just heals on it's own.

Quick Update

Yesterday they tried to wake up my step-dad but he didn't fully pass the test to breathe on his own. So they turned down is sedation medicine and they are trying to spread out his pain medicine so that his body can function.

They are oing to try to wake him up again today. Me and my mom are going down soon in hopes to actualy talk to the doctor.

Well my step-dad came out of his surgery ok. The doctor said he is still very sick but on the road to recovery. There was no more infection or puss and the doctor was able to reconnect his intestines. He still has a long road to recovery but at least he is on his way.

I went to visit him tonight and they are keeping him highly sedated because he is still on the ventilator and stuff. But he is sometimes responsive and can answer yes and no questions.

They are going to start i.v nutrients and vitamins tomorrow and will probably try to wake him up on Monday.

Thanks for all your prayers and I will keep you updated on his condition.

For my Step-Dad. I will make a long story short. My mom called 911 Early new years morning for my step-dad. He was violently ill. They too him to the hospital and did emergency surgery on his stomach. They later told us that without this surgery he would have died. His abdomen was filled with puss and infection. His large and small intestines are now dis-connected.

He was then sent to ICU and is on every machine there is including a ventilator. He is having surgery again today around 11-12. The doctor will know more after today's surgery but if everything goes well, he will need to stay in the ICU for 10 days.

Please pray that the surgery goes well and fixes the problem. my mom asked the doctor if he was healthy enough for another surgery and he said, He is not healthy enough not to have the surgery. SO I will be there today.

I will update later on tonight about his condition.

New Years & Birthday's

Well today is New Years Eve and I hope you all have safe plans for tonight. We are going to our church. They are having a dinner at 7:00p and then a couple of the younger men are going to "Preach" And after that it will be game time!!!! We play thins like guesstures, madgab, pictionary, all the games that I never get to play. Jim's mom is coming home with the kids early so me and Jim can stay as long as we want. And then we are going to spend the night and my nieces apartment. She is out of town and told us we could use it. So we will have a whole night alone!!!

Also, last night was Nicolas's 2nd birthday party and he had a blast. He got lots of toys and clothes, which he needed. I will post pictures soon.

Oh, and we also do stockings too, usually nothing bi but something fun. Well Jim forgot to get something for mine so he stuck a 20 in it an dtold me to get a cute mouse or somehting. SO I went browsing this morning onlin and I found this cute set at Best Buy for only $19.99 and you get the mouse and the mouse pad!!! It was online only so I ordered it and I can't wait to get it!!!

Rebekah had lice again yesterday!! I know I know this is like her 12 time sine February. We treat her hair and the house EVERY time. I mean all the beds carpets stuffed animals. I even spent $30.00 on a Robi comb. No one else has EVER gotten it, just Rebekah. She has blond hair, maybe that's it? But wait, it's only 2 degrees out side, shouldn't lice be dead or hibernating somewhere?

Anyway, let's pray it's gone for good this time!!

Also I have a root canal coming up on Wednesday, wait that's Christmas Eve, Yes I know but that's there 1st appointment and I NEED it done.

I was made aware of a new blog this morning called "Our Daily Blessings" This is about a family who has 2 family members very sick. The mother who just had throat surgery and a son with cancer. This mother just had the surgery this past week and her strength is so encouraging. I just thought is would be nice to send some comment love her way. My New Fiber Optic Christmas Tree

Since my Men Survivor Series post didn't go over to well, I have decided to spread some Christmas Cheer:)

Well, not really, I just wanted to show you my new tree:) It all started the same day we put our original tree up. Everyday my children took ornaments down, broke them, ate and broke every single candy cane I had so I asked my husband to take it downstairs to the basement and we would just brink it up Christmas morning. He too was ok with this. Oh, the last straw was yesterday, We have foam wrapped presents that hang on the tree. 2 of my kids, I am not naming names but you can probably guess, unwrapped those presents and crumbled the foam all over my living room.

So I went to my moms house and she had bought this 6 ft fiber optic tree from Wal-Mart for only $34.00 and out a nice star on to and it looked beautiful!!! With nothing hanging on it!!

So I went to good old Wal-Mart last night and got the same tree and a pretty star for the top and it's wonderful. My kids actually like it more, they say it looks like fire works, and it kinda does:)

The best part is. I can still enjoy a Christmas tree and there is nothing my kids can destroy.

The Next Survivor Men Series

Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 3 kids each for six weeks.

Each kid will play two sports and either take music or dance classes.

There is no fast food. Each man must take care of his 3 kids; keep his assigned house clean, correct all homework, and
complete science projects, cook, do laundry, and pay a list of 'pretend' bills with not enough money.

In addition, each man will have to budget in money for groceries each week.

Each man must remember the birthdays of all their friends and relatives, and send cards out on time--no emailing.

Each man must also take each child to a doctor's appointment, a dentist appointment and a haircut appointment.

He must make one unscheduled and inconvenient visit per child to the Urgent Care.

He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a social function.

Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside and keeping it presentable at all times.

The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done.

The men must shave their legs, wear makeup daily, adorn himself with jewelry, wear uncomfortable yet stylish shoes, keep fingernails polished and eyebrows groomed.

During one of the six weeks , the men will have to endure severe abdominal cramps, back aches, and have extreme, unexplained mood swings but never once complain or slow down from other duties.

They must attend weekly school meetings, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting.

They will need to read a book to the kids each night and in the morning,
feed them, dress them, brush their teeth and comb their hair by 7:00 am.

A test will be given at the end of the six weeks, and each father will be required to know all of the following information:

each child's birthday,
height,
weight,
shoe size,
clothes size
doctor's name.

· Also, the child's weight at birth,
· length,
· time of birth,
· and length of labor,
· each child's favorite color,
· middle name,
· favorite snack,
· favorite song,
· favorite drink,
· favorite toy,
· biggest fear and
· what they want to be when they grow up.

The kids vote them off the island based on performance.

If the last man does win, he can play the game over and over and over again for the next 18-25 years eventually earning the right to be called Mother.

A Word From The Doctor

I POSTED THIS ON MY WEIGHT LOSS BLOG ALSO:)

So I will try to make a long story short,

Iwent to the neurologists yesterday for my migraines. He decided that I have Chronic Migraines, I already knew that, so his next step was to see what causes them.
SO through 1/2 hour of questioning and about 8 pages of paper work, he decided that I show signs of adult ADHD, And for the record I do not believe in ADHD.

Then he asks me what I think my goal weight should be, mind you I didn't even tell him I wanted to lose weight, I said 160. So he did some calculating on his pda and comes back with, no, I think you need to be 136!! Ok, now I am on the floor laughing telling him, in your dreams!!!

So then he tells me he can give me a medication to fix my ADHD and my weight, he calls it a stimulant, I call it speed. He tried to sell me on it by telling me that when I wake up I can take a pill and it will help me to do all the things that i have to do and I will have all the energy I need and the plus is, is that i will lose lots and lots of weight.

So anyway I left there feeling way more depressed than when I started. I am now crazy and fat!!!

But just to ease everyones minds, I am not taking any drugs!!!

One thing I do know, is that I do need to lose some weight as this will help with fatigue and headaches. So I think I will stick to the old fashioned way of doing things. Yes, diet and exericse!!

The Tree is Up....Or Down...Or Up? I don't even Know..

Well we put our tree up Monday night, it is now Wednesday and I have already re-decorated it like 3 times!!!

Nicolas has taken off every single candy cane, broke it open and ate off of them. Oh, yea, they were last years candy canes, but don't worry he can't get any more, THERE ALL GONE!!

Savannah has taken a liking to interior design, specially Christmas trees

Rebekah, she just yells, "MOM THERE TOUCHING THE CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!"

Me I calmly get a broom sweep up the broken bulbs, pick up the candy cane wrappers and throw them in the trash.

I think I might pick up the tree, whole, and walk it back down stairs to the basement where it was safe........

Anyway, here is a picture of our tree. it's not huge and elaborate but it's ours. I got it 2 years ago for $20.00. It is a pre-lit tree and that was more important to me than the size. :)

We Have Been Busy Around Here.....Take A Look

We made Christmas Cut-Out Cookies!!!!
The kids had so much fun icing the cookies, this was the first year I gave them a butter knife and let them go to town!!!

Heres my dough this is the easiest recipe EVER

1 egg
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
1tsp vanilla

Cream all ingriedients together
Add

2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp Baking powder

Mix well and form into a ball and refridgerate 1 hour

Tip: Use a lot of flour on your rolling pin and hands so that the dough does not stick to your hands.

Looks like Jim had a lot of fun too!!!

Rebekah did really well, she said that it was so awesome!!!

Let's just say, Savannah ate more icing than she actually put on a cookie:)

I should have made the "I think my kids hate me" post as my coffee chat.....13 comments!!! Thats like a comment record...............well at least for me. LoL

no really I am sitting here thinking about all the support I have in my journey called Life. I have friends family and all my new bloggy friends. I feel so blessed to be able to come on here post my feelings and get some real strength. Now I am not down playing the strength of the Lord at all. All I am saying is, is that, when I am too weak to gather strength, my friends and family lift me up until I am able to get my focus back again.

So Thank You.

And, no I am not discouraged about my one anonymous commenter. I will admit, it got me down at first. I mean they questioned my ability to love my kids, to discipline my kids and to teach my kids. So yes, I was a little down by it. (Btw anonymous blogger, I hope you know me personally to be making such accusations and if you do know me please be a friend and come talk to me. If you have some great wisdom in raising your kids, please, please come tell me. But if your just regular joe who has no clue, please refrain from visiting this blog. )

I know I now, what an awful thing to say, but hey it's my blog, my thoughts.

Homeschooling has not been going to good. I feel like a failure :( I end up just getting so frusterated with Rebekah and then we don't even really get anywhere. There are times that Savannah, my 3 year old, will join in but it's so frustrating to me that I tell her to go into the other room. Now a "good" mom might have her stay so she can start learning early. Me I send her away to get educated from Blues Clues and Dora!!

I know there are no "qualifications" to homeschool but if there were I definitely would not qualify!!! I really am pondering putting her in school. I am kinda starting to really think that homeschooling is not for everyone. I know the Bible teaches that we should teach our children at home, but in the right context, it's really not saying school work. Now before you turn me off. let me explain.

I believe that scripture is talking about my responsibility to teach my children how to live a life for Jesus. It is our responsibility to teach our children the Bible and the principles in it.

Anyway besides that, I always have so much to do around the house, thanks to 3 kids running around and a husband that works 6 days a week that I really don't just "play" with my kids. Sure I am in the same room as them, doing something but it's not playing with them. I think that's why they love daddy so much, he comes home from work and he is done working!! He CAN play and have fun.But when he gets home my night shift begins. Making dinner, cleaning up from dinner, baths and anything else that didn't get done from the day.

I know what you are thinking, "Just let some things go and use that time" Well I just can't, As much as it bothers me about the kids, it really bothers me if I let them tare the house down and I am just sitting back playing hide and seek.

There has to be a middle ground. I just haven't found it yet. Bottom line is, I hate school!!! I always have and I always will, well maybe not always but as far as I can see I will.

And before I go, I want to add, I am not mad at my husband for working 6 days a week, he has to. We are a family of 5 living on 1 income, you do the math. Anyway this was just my time to be completely honest with myself and my blog friends.

Yes, it is good news for me....................and bad news for my husband, My mother is moving in the house almost across the street from me!! She used to help me out a lot with the children but her two bedroom apartment got smaller & smaller with each kid that i had. So now she is moving into a 3 bedroom house!!!

The kids have always loved going to grandma & grandpa's, I mean c'mon, thy give then whatever they want to eat and let them run around and play!!!

It's actually funny because my mo,s husband, my step dad, has never had children so he really doesn't know what to do with them, so as soon as we get there, he is in the pantry or at the stove. I have always heard that a way to a man's heart is through his stomach, does that work with kids too? Is that some kind of connection between the two? hmmmm, that could be a whole nother blog on it's own!! LoL

Anyway, I might not be on much because I have to g clean my sister-in-laws house tomorrow, my little side job, and then I am going to help my mom move.

Argilye is something I thought I would never like. Something only rich preppy people wear.......Until I saw the sweater hanging in sears. I fell in love with it!!! Black, White& Grey Argyle.

So I asked my hubby to buy it for me.......and he did!!! Now, he doesn't usually buy me things spur of the moment like this but today was my lucky day.....I got it!!!!

The sweater was a $50.00 sweater on clearence for $21.00. When I went to pay for it, the cashier said that if I opened an account today I would recive $15.00 off. So of course I did it, I opened the account and paid the balance of the sweater right there........the total being..............$8.44!!!!! I was so excited!

Oh, and thank you to the no name bank that gave me, a stay-at-home-mom, (that means no job) a thousand dollar credit limit!!!

On a side note, I will never use that card again, hence, I don't have no money ut I do love the sweater:)

Cheap Christmas Decorating tips.

I had bought some "after christmas" wrapping paper for about 24 cents a roll. I had purchased, BackYardigans, Barbie, Tinkerbell, Whinnie the Pooh, Spiderman, Dora and probably a couple others I can't remember. Well instead of just wrapping Christmas gifts with it, I wrapped our pictures on our walls!!

My husband is personally embaressed by this but my kids LOVE it!!

They are asking me,"Mom, why are there presents on the walls?"

For me, it's great because it's ceap and the kids love looking at thier favorites characters all month long.

hmmmmm, I can't figure out why my husband wouldn't like seeing Dora or Spiderman on our wals????? (Wink Wink)

Christmas Card Picture

Well I tried to get the kids together for a Christmas picture, Snapfish is giving 20 photo cards for 20 cents until Sunday at midnight.

Well it definitely did not work for all three of them together. NICOLAS HATES THE CAMERA!! I know that it is a strong word but in this case I mean it. I didn't get one good shot of him.

I did however have to pick 3 of them, each of them individually and then just give up.......becuase..........Rebekah started throwing up ALL OVER her dress!! Ugghhh!!

Anyway this was the best that I got, so if you are one the unlucky, I mean lucky ones getting a picture, here is a sneak peak....

Oh, and please don't tell me to just try it again a different day..............becuase I refuse...........I give up...........I will never get them all dressed and looking nice for that again!!!! Well not ever but deinitley not within the near future..

The Lawyer & The Redneck

A lawyer and a redneck are sitting next to each other on a long flight. The lawyer is thinking that rednecks are so dumb that he could get one over on them easy.

So the lawyer asks if the redneck would like to play a fun game. The redneck is tired and just wants to take a nap, so he politely declines and tries to catch a few winks.

The lawyer persists, "This game is a lot of fun. I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer, you pay me only $5. You ask me one, and if I don't know the answer, I will pay you $500."

This catches the redneck's attention and to keep the lawyer quiet, agrees to play the game.

The lawyer asks the first question. "What's the distance from the earth to the moon?" The redneck doesn't say a word, reaches in his pocket pulls out a five-dollar bill, and hands it to the lawyer.

Now, it's the redneck's turn. He asks the lawyer, "What goes up a hill with three legs, and comes down with four?"

The lawyer uses his laptop, searches all references. He uses the airphone, he searches the Net and even the Library of Congress. He sends e-mails to all the smart friends he knows, all to no avail. After an hour of searching he finally gives up. He wakes up the redneck and hands him $500. The redneck pockets the $500 and goes right back to sleep.

The lawyer is going nuts not knowing the answer. He wakes up the redneck and asks, "Well, what does go up a hill with three legs and come down with four?" The redneck reaches in his pocket, hands the lawyer $5 and goes back to sleep.

I got my hair done today a Famous Hair. Whenever they hire new girls, the girls need hair models. So you can go get your hair done for Free and they give you free products. It's sounds to good to be true, but it is. I got my hair dyed 3 different colors, (Dark Brown, Light Brown & Blonde) and I got Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Frizz Serum, & Root Lifter, oh, and a hair cut all for FREE!!! So here's some pics,

My Morning Devotion

I can't help but to be troubled since waking up this morning and finding out who our new President will be. So I went to the only one who can help me, the Lord. I started doing my devotions through a program called Sword Searcher and it gives me a daily devotion each day.

Today was:

Is 54:17
"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."

So here's my thoughts on this:

There is no weapon that can ruin the saints. People have tried to persecute, condemn, kill, rise above and prosper over christian people for years and it never works and it never lasts.

So this is our heritage from the Lord as Christian people. There is still hope!! We get our righteousness from the Lord not people!!

Well I just thought I would share my thoughts this morning and may this help you through your day also!!

.................Has gone by and I haven't blogged!! Well I have been feeling a little sick this week. It started Monday with a sore throat and know that's mostly gone but I feel all congested in my head.

I missed 2 days of school this week also, so Rebekah had to double up today and tomorrow. I am also catching up with my kitchen and my laundry. Mon-Wed I was literally under the weather:(

I am sure you all noticed my blog make over. It's more like me. My candy corn header doesn't exactly fit but I liked it too much to really care. I love fall colors and there are definitely a lot of colors in my blog now:)

I am getting a little anxious about the election on Tuesday. I am just so curious who is going to win. Just my opinion but I will be a little surprised if Obama gets elected. Either way there is definitely a change coming. I am not too sure I like all this early voting stuff. I haven't been around for too many presidential elections but I don't remember early voting. I sent my girls off to thier first slumber party!! Pizza, Birthday cake, Games and Crafts!! I hope they had a wonderful time. I just had to get a picture of them as I was heading out the door.

Cell phone vs. Bible

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?

Just Another Manic Monday

Well the title is a little 80's flash back for you who remember;) No I am not endorsing 80's music!!!!

Well I have noticed it to be a little S L O W in blog world but that does not deter me from spilling my guts on here whether someone is listening or not.

I went to the dentist today so he could file down a jagged tooth and he said that my blood clots are forming nice and rather fast........I guess thats a compliment. I always follow doctors orders LoL!!

We are having the Bloom family over tonight for pizza and pop and the kids are going to take advantage of this Indian Summer and ride their bikes outside tonight. I am looking forward to the fellowship.

I will say that lately to get my kids to take a nap is almost as bad as having 3 teeth pulled. After I out them down for their nap I find myself having to back upstairs at least 3-4 times to get them to go to sleep. They just lay in their beds and talk to themselves and play. The girls already sleep in different rooms and they are not aloud to have toys in the beds. I mean they could lay there and twiddle their fingers for 2 hours instead of just closing their sleepy eyes and taking a nap. By the time nap time is over, when Nicolas wakes up, I am so exhausted from going up and down the steps so much and pleading with my kids to go to sleep that I feel like I actually need a nap!!! Any advice would be great. I do discipline them for this but I choose not to put that over the Internet for anybody to see. I am talking about if anybody has any Good "Tricks" Any help...PLEASE!!!

1. Laundy~ It just finished and it's ready to come out to be folded......tomorrow:)

2. Kitchen Sink~ Wow, No dirty dishes;)

3. My Favorite Shoes~ I just got these last week. I love them because I have big feet and they are slimming.

4. Self Portrait~ Remeber I just had 3 teeth pulled and the directions say NO PRIMPING!!!

5. A Toilet~ This one is now being used by 4 people. I go through the Tp now!!!

6. A Closet~ I picked the girls because it's the cleanest one LoL

7. My Favorite Room~ The Living Room because it's so relaxing

8. My Fridge~ Just a bunch of leftovers
