Yummy Dinner

Well once again Jim to the rescue!!!! After another long day yesterday, I was down to one kid, Nicolas of course, The girls had gone to spend the night at MiMi's!!! Jim asked if he could take me to dinner, so of course I politely accepted, I mean come on, it would be rude not to!!! Lol He took me to the RoadHouse by Chapel Hill Mall. It was very yummy and way too much food. I am so glad we decided not to get an appetizer. I had steak, baked potatoes, rolls and a salad. Oh and I can't forget to mention my Diet Coke!!!! LoL Afterward we decided that we needed a coffee. (To fill in the cracks!) So he took me to...............Starbucks!!! I got the Pumpkin Spice Latte which is to die for!!! It's only available around this time of year, so get one for yourself...........and invite me along!!

Coffee!!! Coffee!!! Coffee!!!

As you ALL know I am a coffee lover. I love coffee!! Coffee is the greatest thing.....COFFEE!!! Well Jim went to the church to the other night to get some work done and I was a little frazzled when he got home so I kinda had a frown on my face..................until I heard those words..........."I got you something"......................And then he slowly brought his hands around and there it was....................My very own Dark Chocolate Mocha Frappuchino!!!! Yum, so i thought I would take a picture and share it with you. Oh, and I added a picture of my coffee station......well it's my Bunn coffee pot, which I love and my Starbucks coffee canister, even though it doesn't always hold Starbucks coffee and my 97 cent coffee place mat. It's beautiful!!!!

This is Definitley Blog Worthy for Me!!

Starbucks Offers Free Coffee for Homeschool Parents

This coming Monday, September 29, homeschool parents will be able to pick up a complimentary tall size (12 fl. oz.) cup of Pike Place Roast from Starbucks.
This promotion is part of Starbucks “Great Start for Great Teachers” promotion, and is now open to all teachers.

HSLDA intervened when we were alerted that homeschool parents were not included in the promotion.

We are pleased that Starbucks is recognizing the contribution of homeschool parents by extending their program to us.

In order to pick up your free cup of Pike Place Roast you will need to present evidence that you are a homeschooler.

Any one item on the following list should be accepted by Starbucks:
Home School Legal Defense Association membership card.

Membership card from a state homeschooling organization
.
Notification from a school district or state government recognizing compliance with compulsory attendance.
Paperwork submitted showing intent to establish a homeschool program.

Paperwork showing the establishment of a private school.

If you don’t have one of the items on this list be creative and try to provide other proof of homeschooling
.
Please note: the final decision about whether to accept proof of homeschooling resides with Starbucks.
We hope you choose to take advantage of this offer.

Call your local Starbucks to make sure they what they will accept as proof before you go.

I just called to verifi and...........it's true!!!!

Make-Up Woes

Well as I was homeschooling Rebekah I noticed that I had not seen or heard Nicolas for awhile so I went to check on him and sure enough he was in my $18.00 Clinique Mascara!!!! Some of you would never pay $18.00 for mascara.......well I did and now I am mad!!! Before I cleaned him up I had to take a picture to show Jim later on. I just want to give him a little insight on MY day. Notice his hands and his face....Oh, and he was crying before I even said anything to him. I think he already realized the sticky situation he got himself into........

I Need To Vent..............

These past 2 days have been absolutly horrible!!!! I am going to let you in on what's been going on around here:

2 times Nicolas has thrown wet coffee grounds around my kitchen

my computer has been messed with a thousand different times

Savannah got into blue paint and got it everywhere!!! It was craft paint

Rebekah has LICE!!!! O My Goodness. The process is aweful. Yesterday I had to strip everyone's bed's, treat everyones hair just to be on the safe side. Bag up ALL stuffed animals or anything that lice could stay on. spray all beds, all pillows, all curtains. I am a total freak about this!! I have to make sure it's gone and clean. So I fianlly get done and am putting sheets on the bed last night at 8:00pm so everyone can go to bed.

This morning, I am still potty training Savannah, I started Monday, so I am always working with her. I check Rebekah's hair again, and there's more!!!! You see if you even leave one timy egg in there, it will hatch. So I did the whole process again. Everyones hair trerated and washed, all blankets and sheets washed. Everything sprayed again. While I am doing this, Nicolas destroyed my coffee AGAIN!!! I just cried and cried and cried. It's now 12:00 and I havn't even started school!!!

Oh, not to mention the huge poop mess this morning. (Savannah)

I just feel so overwhelmed and have no one to even help.

It's only 12:00 and I feel like I have ran a marathon.

It's like there is mess after mess after mess. I can't even begin normal daily activites. And let's just hope that Jim doesn't come home and ask me why the house isn't spotless, I may just go crazy!!!

My house looks like a war zone and all I have done is clean!! Well I better quit typing now, wish me luck.

A video from a soldier to Obama

Reading Time

My kids made some huge messes this morning. Nicolas took my coffee filter out of the coffee post and flung them all over my kitchen. Wet coffee grounds are impossible!!! While I was down stairs cleaning that up, he went into my bedroom and turned my computer on and off the wrong way, which I am picky about, and he flung some papers I had all over the room. So I was pleasently surprised when I went downstairs and found all of my babies having reading time..........on my dining room table!!!

Birthday Cake....Well Sorta of;)

The girls came and got me and told me they made a birthday cake in thier room.....well that got my attention. This is what I found, a BIG pile of toys kinda shaped like a cake. They sang to me and blew out the candles. Gotta love imagination!!!

Chicken Broccoli Braid

I made a new recipe I found online. All it is, is crescant rolls, cut cup cooked chicken, brocolli, shredded sharp chedder and I added a little sour cream. This was a great cheap meal that goes along way!! Enjoy:)

Birthday Party Pics:) Rebekah 5 & Savannah 3

Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?

Barak Obama: "The chicken crossed the road, because he wanted change! The chicken wanted change!

JOHN MC CAIN: My friends, that chicken crossed the road becuase he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with the chickens on the other side of the road.

HILLARY CLINTON: When I was first lady, I personnally helped that chicken across the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure-right from day one!- that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this isn't about me.

GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road or not. The chicken is eitheror us, or against us. There is no middle ground here.

DICK CHENNEY: Where's my gun?

COLIN POWELL: Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road.

BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with that chicken. What is your definition of crossing?

AL GORE: I invited the chicken

JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was wrong to cross, and I was misled about the chickens intentions. I am not for it, and will remain against it.

AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white???

PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a hardworking, decent America

BARBARA WALTERS: Isn't that interesting? In a few months, we will be listening to that chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish it's life long dream of crossing the road.

BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken2008, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken2008. This new platform is much more stable and will never cr@##&&(C%...reboot

ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

COLONOL SANDERS: Did I miss one???

I just couldn't pass this one up:)

Tinkerbell Birthday Cake

Well Carri and I went to Loretta's last night and baked Rebekah and Savannah's birthday cake. It turned out great!!! The process just amazes me. I actually got to help this time. I colored Tinkerbells dress, shoes, and wings and few other little details. I does take awhile but it sure looks better than the store cakes. We got the cake in the oven at 6:45pm and it was completely finished at about 11:30pm. I can't wait for the birthday party tomorrow, we have tinkerbell everything!!!

Here's The Latest Pictures

Nicolas was trying to ride Rebekah's bike and he was having a great time. The girls just loved getting thier picture taken:)

Here's The Latest Pictures Continued......

Nicolas was having a blast laying all over Savannah, and she actually gave him a hug. The rest we are all just goofing around in the living room.

Fuuny Video

Hello Hello :)

Well I just wanted to write a little post about.....well you know, stuff LoL

So I started school on Monday, I am almost done with our first week. I will say, it is not at all what I expected. I actually don't like it. Rebekah knows so much stuff but during "school" hours she goes blank. I am really struggling with the idea of putting her in public school. Jim would be totally against it so I am not sure if it would be worth the battle. All I know is that, everyday so far has been a battle:( Not to mention the way Nicolas acts during school. I am constantly chasing after him!!

On a good note. Have you tried Domino's new baked sandwiches? They are so Delicious!! They are smaller than a foot long sub but very filling. I got the chicken bacon ranch and it was yummy!! Right now you can get one $5.00. Since today was so awful and I didn't have any bread for lunch, I decided to order out. I got a great special. One baked sandwich and a small pizza with one topping for $8.99. And I only have Rebekah & Nicolas so it worked out perfect!!

Labor Day Picnic

Our church had a picnic Monday and it was so much fun. All the kids had a really great time. I played 6 games of volley ball!!! My arms are so sore it even hurts to type this;) Nicolas loved drinking iced tea out of a "real" cup. When it was empty he would just walk up to anybody, smile and they would get him more. The girls had fun eating all the yummy food and running around the HUGE yard. The Butlers brought a old parachute that kept the kids busy for a awhile. He would get it blown up and all the kids would run underneath it. We stayed for 6 hours. Angie ended up taking Nicolas home around 1:30 so he could nap. All in all, it was a great day!!

Rebekah's First Day Of School

I wanted to post a picture of Rebekah's first day of school. Even though she doesn't leave the house, I still wanted her to have great expierience. She had funa nd she couldn't wait for the next day:)
